About Katie Barnard Wong
Katie Barnard Wong is a voice teacher and coach who helps singers, speakers, and anyone who talks for a living find a free, healthy, expressive voice. She founded Barnard Voice Studio in 2016 and works with clients one-on-one and in group workshops.
Katie holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College. Alongside her classical training through the Lamperti lineage, she has studied the work of Kristin Linklater, Patsy Rodenburg, and Catherine Fitzmaurice. As a performer, she has sung opera, musical theater, jazz, and pop on stages in Philadelphia, Boston, New York, San Francisco, Italy, and Austria.
Since 2023, Katie has coached executives, physicians, and thought leaders as a vocal coach at HEROIC Public Speaking, and she is a museum educator at Grounds for Sculpture. Earlier, she designed student programs and managed visitor services at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum, and served as music coordinator, cantor, and youth minister at Queenship of Mary Church.
Her sessions are active: people are on their feet, making sound, and hearing the difference. Her aim is for each person to know, enjoy, and use the voice they already have - transformed.
Katie lives in Princeton, NJ, with her husband and their two children.
